The season starts in September and runs through April/May with breaks for the holidays. HFA also runs The Memorial Cup, an intra-league tournament which runs concurrently with the regular season. Teams play at least 18 regular season games and more depending on how far they advance in Memorial Cup action.
Currently the Premier division plays on Saturday and Sunday nights at Bayland Park. Championship plays most of their games at Bayland Park, but on Sundays at 9am and 11am. All other divisions play Sundays at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm at Bear Creek Park.
The only requirement to enter a team is to fill out a team application form, submit an $80 application fee and a $200 bond to hold a place for your team. The league cannot guarantee space or division placement, so enter early. The deadline to enter is late July each year. Entry forms are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until all open slots are filled. Fill out a Team Application and fax, email or mail it to the league.
Player registration deadline is the end of August, when all player materials are due. All players must turn in a player card with photo, a signed registration form and a copy of their driver’s license or other proof of identity. The league will provide copies of the necessary forms after we receive your team application.
Team managers are required to attend monthly league meetings. At least one member of the team management must have access to the internet and email in order to receive league correspondence and access the website Administration.
