JJ, as he is more famously known joined the Houston Rangers in that famous 1993-94 season when they swept all before them.
A tenacious battling midfielder with a tremendous engine that would suggest he be fifteen years younger, than his ID would have you believe.
Despite his advancing years, Johnson played more minutes than anyone else as he started every game for Houston Rangers XI last season(2005-06), and was the overwhelming choice for Player of the Year as Rangers finshed as Champions in the Championship.

JOHN JOHNSON 22 22 1 2
Season 2006-07 saw Johnson reluctantly return to Rangers XI in the Premier Division as a man approaching his forties.
Any doubts that JJ might well have had were quickly dispersed as he yet again shone as a prominent figure in the team throughout the season, and once again finds himself as one of only two candidates for Player of the Year.
