Martin joined a struggling Rangers XI at the tail end of 2006, when the team had collected only 1 point from their first 6 games of the season.
Such was his contribution that Rangers XI climbed off the foot of the table and went on to finish a very respectable 4th in the Premier Division as they collected 31 points from their next 12 league games (winning 10, drawing 1, and losing 1) whilst reaching the semi-finals of The HFA Cup, where they were eventually beaten in extra time.
A very talented left sided midfielder that goes by opponents with consumate ease, and shows incredible deceptive strength for one so sliight in stature. Martin has struck several important goals, and his precise crossing of a ball with that sweet left peg has lead to many more.
At this time he is one of only two players in the running for Player of the Year. | |
